We have received new information about the 232 tariffs and tariff changes to 7318.14.1060 the code for Tapping Screws for which most of our threaded fasteners are categorized. These developments will increase our costs on shipments received on or after March, 12th, 2025. Tariffs will now impact all steel imports. Tariffs on steel products from countries such as Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Vietnam will be levied at 25% or more, as well as the China rates will increase from 10% to 35%.
Additional Tariffs on goods produced in Mexico and Canada will also increase goods pricing.
Products that are 100% Made in the U.S.A. with all American raw materials will NOT BE subject to increases at this time. These products include Butyl Roll and BT-13 Butyl Tape, DMI30 Sealant, Bullet Boots, Bullet Gooseneck Vents, Roof Vent Boot Guard, Razorback Ridgevent Plus Rolls, ProfileVent, Direct*Seal Universal Closure, Fillerstrip Die Cut Closure Strips & DMI Windows. Commercial Grade and MEGA HD Translucent Panels will not be be part of this pricing increase.
Today we are extending this one-month advance notice to you of pricing increases that will take affect on April 1st, 2025. The previous advise of a 10% March 15th increase will now be put off to be included in the April 1st, 2025 increase. Please understand that current pricing will apply only to in stock material, any orders or backorders shipped after April 1, 2025 will be subject to the increased prices.
The DMI team will continue to negotiate with factories to avoid full tariff increases on many products. The end result of the impacts will be issued on updated pricing sheets, on or before April 1, 2025.
If the tariff notices are lifted or modified, we will provide swift communication and make fair adjustments to the increase.
